Course Overview:

Through activities, reading, discussion, and hands-on service-learning experiences, students will gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their community and their society. This course is designed in such a way as to allow youth voice, so students will be investigating and designing their own community service-learning projects with the guidance of instructor and other mentors.

All lessons will be planned according to the educational standards set forth by the Ohio Department of Education and their adoption of the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts.
